Dear Friend of the Mission, I want to thank those that gave this winter. So many of our partners in the work of Christ gave more than normal. With the power bills running close to 5,000 a month we could only pray that the finances would come in. We still have a need for those that can, to support us monthly with your giving. So far this year we are seeing lives changed for the good. We had been effected by the beef recall and had to destroy 450 # of beef. So far this year we have given food to 91 families, provided 1,083 meals, 148 nights of shelter and 74 nights of transitional housing. This was done in the name of our partners. This is the time of the year when we consider the sacrifice that our Lord Jesus Christ made when He went willing to the cross. After His pattern of giving of Himself fully for others, He commanded us to take up our crosses. Jesus ask His father if possible let this cup pass from me, but I will do the will of the Father. This is a example of obedience to the Father. Jesus knew that the cup He was about to drink from contain the dirges of all the wickedness of the whole human race thru out history. That cup also contain the wrath of God. His righteous punishment for men’s sin. Jesus took that cup and drank heavily from it to save the race that murdered Him. Adams race was saved by the blood that was spilled on that cross. The servant is not greater than the master. We must lay our lives down for our brothers, sisters, friend, relatives, and the rest of the human race. Jesus said this in Matthew 16: 24,25. We have been called to die, called to glorify Jesus by life or death, called to suffer before we are entitled to reign. (Phil. 1:20,21) Our Savoir was rejected and nailed to a tree, and He says to us, “ Follow my example!” Our Lord was hung to die agony, and He says to us, “ Take up your cross!” Our Master was scorned and flogged and pieced, and He says to us, “ Expect similar treatment!” Jesus made this perfectly clear. The world would treat us the way it treated Him.( John 15:18-20) This is how we can impact a generation. This is how we transform society. This is how we win God’s war. That is the key to victory and conquest. We save our lives by losing them. We keep our lives by giving them away. We win by surrendering. We live by dieing. That is Jesus method of world conquest. It can not be stopped. The just should live by Faith. We have been hit hard by the bills this winter. I was told that someone had eight thousand dollars to give. If this is you please be obedient to as Christ was. That would put us back where we was going into winter. My staff has not had a pay raise in seven years. I have a volunteer that puts in over 40 hrs a week and does a great job seeing that the people that stay here receives all the benefits entitle to them. I would love to put her full time on the staff. So I really need new donors on a monthly basis. In these hard times and I am afraid it is going to get worse. It is hard to live by faith. I heard so many stories of how the during the depression God provided miracles to those in need. I know people that gave to help those in need and when they fell on hard times God provided all they needed. May God be with you and bless you with peace and joy all the days of your life.
With Love in Christ, Rev. Jerry French Be a part of bringing someone’s loved one to Christ! PS: we need money to!!
